MRI differentiation of lymph nodes in canine head and neck cancer

Study overview

This observational imaging study investigates whether advanced MRI sequences can reliably distinguish malignant from reactive lymph nodes in dogs with head and neck neoplasia. Accurate nodal staging is critical for treatment planning and prognosis. The study uses non-invasive imaging only — no additional tissue sampling beyond standard clinical care is required. Results may help reduce unnecessary lymph node biopsies and improve surgical decision-making in veterinary oncology.
